Terms and Conditions – Delhi Taxi Booking
Welcome to Delhi Taxi Booking. By accessing this website or booking any taxi service through this platform, you acknowledge, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all one-way, round-trip and local taxi bookings facilitated through Delhi Taxi Booking.
By proceeding with a booking, the customer expressly acknowledges that Delhi Taxi Booking does not operate vehicles or employ drivers and acts solely as a booking and facilitation platform.
1. Service Overview
Delhi Taxi Booking is a technology-enabled booking and facilitation platform only. It does not provide transportation services, does not own or operate vehicles, and does not employ drivers.
All taxi services are provided by independent third-party vehicle owners and drivers operating under their own permits, licences, insurance and statutory approvals. Delhi Taxi Booking has no control over the conduct, driving behaviour, route decisions, vehicle condition or compliance of such independent service providers.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed as creating any partnership, joint venture, agency or employer-employee relationship between Delhi Taxi Booking and any driver or vehicle owner.
2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only after confirmation communication is sent and advance payment (if applicable) is received. Delhi Taxi Booking reserves the right to cancel or refuse any booking in case of incorrect, misleading or incomplete customer information, without any liability.
3. Fare, Distance & Charges
All fares displayed or communicated are indicative and based on estimated distance, vehicle category and trip type. Final charges are calculated on actual kilometres travelled, trip duration and route taken.
Toll tax, state tax, parking charges, entry fees, inter-state permits and any other statutory charges are not included unless specifically mentioned, and shall be paid by the customer as per actuals.
Local packages are limited to fixed hours and kilometres. Any additional usage will be billed extra. Outstation and round-trip bookings may be subject to minimum kilometre and driver allowance rules as communicated at the time of booking.
4. Payments
Customers are required to complete payment through approved digital modes such as UPI or bank transfer. Delhi Taxi Booking reserves the right to withhold, cancel or discontinue services in case of non-payment, delayed payment or payment failure, without further obligation.
5. Pickup, Waiting & Route
Pickup timing is subject to traffic, road and weather conditions. Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be liable for delays. Excessive waiting due to customer delay or unavailability may attract additional charges. Route selection is at the discretion of the independent driver, considering safety, road and traffic conditions.
6. Vehicle & Service Limitations
In case of a vehicle breakdown, accident or technical issue, an alternate vehicle may be provided by the independent driver or vehicle owner subject to availability. Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be responsible for any loss, delay or inconvenience caused due to such events or other factors beyond its reasonable control.
7. Accident, Injury & Insurance
All vehicles engaged through the platform are required to carry valid commercial insurance as mandated by law. In the event of any accident, injury, disability or death, liability shall be governed by the Motor Vehicles Act and shall primarily lie with the independent driver, vehicle owner and their respective insurance provider.
Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be liable for any bodily injury, disability or death except to the limited extent mandated under applicable law.
8. Pets / Animals
Pets or animals are permitted only with prior information and driver consent. Additional charges may apply. The customer assumes full responsibility for the pet and any damage, cleanliness issues or regulatory violations arising during the trip.
9. Luggage & Personal Belongings
The customer is solely responsible for their luggage and personal belongings. Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be liable for loss, theft or damage to any items left in the vehicle at any time.
10. Passenger Conduct
Any illegal activity, misconduct, abuse, damage to the vehicle or non-compliance with lawful and safety-related instructions of the driver may result in immediate termination of the trip without refund or liability.
11. Limitation of Liability
Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be liable for any acts, omissions, negligence, misconduct, rash driving, accidents, delays or service deficiencies caused by independent third-party drivers or vehicle owners.
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or mental distress.
If any liability is established against Delhi Taxi Booking despite the above, such liability shall be strictly limited to the amount actually paid by the customer for the specific booking.
Liability, if any, arising out of personal injury, disability or death shall be governed exclusively by applicable motor vehicle laws and the insurance coverage of the concerned driver or vehicle owner.
12. Force Majeure
Delhi Taxi Booking shall not be liable for any failure, delay, cancellation or disruption of services arising due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, accidents, traffic congestion, road closures, strikes, law and order situations, government restrictions or technical failures.
In such circumstances, the customer shall not be entitled to claim any compensation, damages or consequential losses from Delhi Taxi Booking.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts located in New Delhi.
